The Nothing But Nourished 21-Day Reset is made up of three phases all aimed to support, encourage and keep you going.

 

Phase  #  1 : Preparing For Cleanse: This session is all about putting the conditions in place so success is inevitable- we address any objections, concerns, etc. and help you commit to your intentions.

Phase  # 2 : Cleanse​: During the Cleanse you will follow the simple elimination diet plan, commit to the habit change and be supported through the process.

Phase #3 : Post-Cleanse: In the Re-Introduction phase you will re-introduce foods back into your diet one by one to identify food sensitivities and intolerances and create a maintenance diet that best serves your unique body.

Why Cleanse Anyways?

Cleansing and detoxing are the buzz words these days, but did you know that there’s different kinds?


The most commonly practiced are Intestinal Cleanses (or detoxes) where one follows a protocol that results in the intestines and colon being flushed out (think Roto-Rootering the gut). This usually gives the digestive system a reset, which truly is a wonderful thing! The con here though is that you stay close to the bathroom. You get quick results but sadly, results that don't always last.

The other kind of Cleanse is a Cellular Cleanse, using a protocol that incorporates intermittent fasting (no- not starving yourself! For more info on Intermittent Fasting, see blog). 


Intermittent fasting forces your body to tap into specific fat cells that are holding onto toxins (coming from stress, poor diet, build-up of hormones, things in your environment: cleaning products, bath/body/personal hygiene, etc.) to use those for energy instead of sugar, muscle, etc.
Your body will only use these fat cells for energy when you target them by cellular cleansing.

This type of cleansing leads to lasting results, changing biochemistry and ridding toxins that are locked away.

 

Although the body is designed to be self-cleaning and to excrete toxins, it cannot always handle the overload present in today’s environment. Chemicals not excreted accumulate in our fat cells and cell membranes and become internal toxins. When the body is under stress, it releases those toxic waste products from the fat to circulate in the bloodstream. These toxins can damage the protective intestinal lining, literally corroding the body from the inside out; making it a less effective filter for the good nutrients we might be bringing in. The more it is damaged, the less effectively it absorbs nutrients, and the more toxins pass into the blood and lymph systems. This is why elimination is so important during a cleanse! We aim to eliminate toxins from the body to avoid toxic overload.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have to spend all this time cooking? Great question! As a chef and someone who is crazy about being in the kitchen, I always encourage my clients to prepare their own food when possible. However, after much experience, I know that I'm in the minority here! ;)

That being said, for many, meal prep is not always realistic with their schedule nor is it something they want to do- thus, I have a whole system in place for that! Being a consumer of this myself, I highly recommend it for anyone looking to replace time in the kitchen with healthy done-for-you snacks and whole food superfood meal options. As a bonus, I have something for almost any eating preference (paleo, keto, vegan, gluten/dairy-free, etc.)! Simply schedule a free session and I will match you with a system that fits your unique dietary needs, goal and budget!

 

I'm pregnant. Is it safe to cleanse? While this is a very gentle cleanse that benefits most people, if you are pregnant, nursing, are on any kind of prescription drugs or have a medical condition, do NOT start the cleanse without first consulting your doctor.

What kinds of detox symptoms can I expect? Will I need to take time off of work?

In a well designed cleanse program such as this one, you need not feel like icky, but you will likely experience some symptoms. After all, you are detoxing! Symptoms may include: increased body odor, bad breath, fatigue, headaches, irritability, chilliness, dry lips and skin (dehydration!), constipation or increased mucous discharge. Many who experience these strong, unpleasant symptoms, find that they are an indication that their tissues are releasing toxins faster than their eliminating organs can excrete them... you need not worry, friend! We have many tips and tricks to give your body that extra boost so you can effectively detox in a natural, healthy manner.

Will I lose weight on this cleanse?

Most cleanse participants will shed some excess weight when they avoid processed sugar, gluten, dairy and other food irritants. Toxins cause inflammation and inflammation weighs something! By detoxing, we can get the yuck out thus the puffiness and bloat leave!

What if I get hungry?
No starving here, friend. This is not a fasting cleanse so you should not feel hungry. In fact, most participants are surprised that they feel even more nourished and satisfied than they normally do on a regular diet. If you do feel hungry, it could be that you are withdrawing from sugar addiction. This is normal and will pass in a few days. Hunger could also be a sign you are not eating enough fat or protein or complete meals. We will evaluate how much you are eating at meal times and adjust accordingly! The recipes are designed with just the right amount of macros and micros so that you are walking away feeling nothing but nourished (no pun intended :D )!
Too, there are times when we can also experience a false hunger or emotional hunger. In this case, its important to become very curious! There is a valuable nugget of wisdom waiting for you in this inquiry. To support you in undoing negative thoughts and emotions, there will be a journaling prompt sent straight to your inbox daily that will help you identify the source of the negative behavioral patterns.

Do I really have to give up coffee? What about decaf?

Oh friend. I’ve been there. When I realized that I was drinking over forty ounces of this magic beverage on a day-to-day basis, I knew that I was most definitely into my coffee. However, I decided to do this 21-Day Reset as well so the answer is yes! You really do have to give up all coffee, decaf included for the last two phases. Coffee is very acidic and dehydrating, and caffeine severely taxes the detox organs, such as the liver and kidneys. Even though decaf coffee does not have caffeine, it is still acidic and dehydrating, and the caffeine is usually extracted with chemical solvents, making it a poor choice during the cleanse.
